Hhmm… I used Plaxo a few years back for quite a while - admittedly on a Windows machine and just became disillusioned with its performance. However, more and more I hear people say I should give it another go, so I think I will take the plunge in the next few days and see how it runs on my Mac - provided I can switch off all the notifications!

Try plaxo for some cross platform sync love if you don’t mind you calendar on an external server, works nicely for me between the macs.

Hi Mark,

The only time that you would HAVE to use FlipperFox is if the back resource/website you are publishing requires it. PortWise itself as no such requirement, which is useful as I hardly ever load FlipperFox on any of my Macs.

If you still have problems drop me a line and we can look at the config.

There are an untold number of companies that would simply cease functioning without well trained networking career coaches. Others told me that using some kind of web marketing might make a difference in getting found as a career coach. Does this work …

Thanks Dion. Looks like I made a real mess-up of accrediting the video there. Thanks for commenting though.

If I could make one recommendation to the Gears team it would be to be clearer about the purpose and benefit of Gears. I’ve spoken to a few people today about their perception and like many they believed it was the “bring content offline”, which was good, but not great. When I aksed them to read this post (and watch the video) I could see the penny drop for them. So, my recommendation would be to definately re-communicate the purpose of Gears. Get people to change their current thinking.
