Omnifocus gets a new intro video and some Great British food ideas

Whilst viewing the new OmniFocus intro video I find it vaguely fascinating that in the background there are books by Nigel Slater and Nigella Lawson. Is it me or all “productivity” enthusiasts just as fascinated by food

On a slightly different note, if you haven’t played around with OmniFocus yet, I whole heartedly recommend it. I was first switched on to it by Merlin and have to say I find it a really useful, intuitive product to use.

I do occasionally struggle in that I also use OmniOutliner and occassionally realise - albeit too late - that I should have used the other tool to complete my task. However, because it’s all being done on a Mac it’s not really a problem - it all just somehow works together ;-)

Of course, if you’re a keen GTD’er then the whole experience will be reasonably familiar to you from the get-go. I have to say I haven’t fully committed to this product - as much as I’d like to - because I use a PC in the office and for the last 4 years I’ve driven my GTD practice using a Moleskine with pen and paper and so am still struggling to come to terms with the possibility of “going digital” at GTD

  1. Mark.. that was my dining room bookshelf in the background… my wife’s Nigella Lawson book and my Nigel Slater. Love them both. Most of my favorite cook books are British. Could be because I bought most of them when I was still living in HK?

Now I just need more time to cook ;)

Thanks so much for the comment Ethan. I’m somewhat flattered the face of OmniGroup should comment on this blog, which only has 6 entries. This represents a brand-new, fresh approach to my blogging - having run one previously for 3 years, this one’s new and is totally focussed on three areas, productivity, technology, project management and food (http://about.markaw.com).

I have to say you can’t go wrong with Nigel Slater - often viewed as just a critic, but he can actually cook and show people great food, which is a refreshing change. Of all the Chef personalities I’d highly recommend giving Rick Stein a go or Giorgio Locatelli
